Pacific University student and Roseburg resident Jordan (Bruno) Gegenhuber honored by Oregon NASA Space Consortium

The Oregon NASA Space Consortium has awarded Pacific University biology student Jordan (Bruno) Gegenhuber a scholarship of $8,000.

A junior from Roseburg, Gegenhuber hopes to earn either a PhD in molecular biology and biochemistry or an MD.

"I enjoy both the process of research and scientific discovery as well as providing medical care to those in need,” he said. "Receiving the Oregon Space Grant Scholarship is such an incredible honor and has greatly impacted my life. Not only has it allowed me to continue my education at Pacific and keep my sights on graduate school, but it has motivated me to continue setting excellence as the standard, wherever my endeavors lie.”

The OSG Scholarship Programs recognize the academic accomplishments of students that intend to pursue a career in the aerospace, science, or education community.
